Harlee Manor, Family Owned Since 1968

In 1968, Common Pleas Court Judge Emanuel W. Beloff and his wife, Jean, created Harlee Manor to meet the growing need for reliable personalized care among the aging members of their Delaware County community.

Over the next 30 years, Mrs. Beloff remained steadfastly involved with Harlee Manor, earning the respect of her local community and her peers in the industry. In fact, Governor Raymond Shaeffer appointed her to the State Board of Nursing Home Administrators, making her one of the first five licensed Nursing Home Administrators in Pennsylvania.

From 1968 until her passing in 1999, Mrs. Beloff was a popular and highly visible presence in the dining rooms and at activities, serving as both the guiding spirit and the public face of the growing organization. Today, as Harlee Manor approaches the half-century mark, it is still family-owned and managed by the Beloffs’ two sons, who continue her legacy of day-to-day involvement.

As the average American life span has increased over the last few generations, health care needs have changed accordingly, and so has Harlee Manor. In 2001 we expanded to incorporate a Personal Care Living Community, Springfield Senior Commons.

Currently, the Commons accommodates 84 residents, providing each with a rewarding lifestyle and a full range of support services according to their individual needs. In addition to support with Activities of Daily Living, we offer short or long term Nursing, Rehabilitation and Respite Care, as well as a specialized Dementia Care program.

Harlee Manor was established to provide every resident with a safe, comfortable, home-like environment, while attending to his/her physical, social and emotional well-being on a highly-professional, yet personalized basis.
